Description
Steam Sterilization Evaluation Bowie & Dick Test
The Bowie & Dick test allows you to verify the correct evacuation of air from the sterilization chamber and the complete penetration of steam into porous loads. This test simulates the performance of the device and evaluates the effectiveness of the preliminary vacuum, as well as the temperature and pressure values of saturated vapor during sterilization.
The test package consists of an outer cardboard box packaging with a process indicator for steam cycles and two cellulose filter layers inside, between which the board with the tack is placed for testing. The indicator, covered with a plastic film, does not release ink, ensuring constant compactness to the entire pack and allowing correct vapor permeation.
The packet externally has a process indicator that will turn gray/black after being processed, to identify already processed packets from unprocessed ones.
