VIDU STERILIZATION CONTROL · PLASTIC NEUTRAL CERTIFIED · ZERO PLASTIC FOOTPRINT
Sterilization controls are made up of a mix of materials that cannot be recycled, and for hygienic and sanitary reasons, it is difficult to find an alternative made of another material. VIDU works to always offer the most responsible solution and, while maintaining the necessary hygienic qualities in the clinic, always seeks a balance between fair price and caring for the planet.
While working on researching alternative solutions, they have reached an agreement with RePurpose, an organization that has developed the largest certified network of plastic collection projects worldwide, under which they collect through the New Cycle project in Colombia, the same amount of plastic that they generate.

How to manage the waste generated in the clinic with the use of these sterilization controls?
- Can these sterilization controls be recycled?
- How to recycle the packaging of this product?
Unfortunately, the sterilization controls are made of a mix of non-recyclable materials. Although on several occasions they do not get dirty or wet, their lifespan is short as they are not reused for other patients and are disposed of without separating their parts in the bin along with other group II waste (Non-specific non-infectious healthcare waste).
VIDU is working on developing alternatives and new recycling channels for waste generated in the clinic. Meanwhile, to offset the plastic footprint generated, VIDU, in collaboration with RePurpose, an organization that has developed the largest certified network of plastic collection projects worldwide, collects each month through the New Cycle project in Colombia, the same amount of plastic that it generates.
The box used in the packaging of this product is made of 100% recyclable cardboard and it is that easy:

- When you have accumulated enough cardboard, deposit it in the nearest recycling container.
Where do these sterilization controls come from?
One of the brand's objectives is transparency, so the packaging of all products always specifies the country of origin. It will vary from one product to another always seeking the manufacturing conditions that ensure: Quality, sustainability, and fair price.
