• It provides a test result in an incubator after 24 hours with a accuracy of ≥97%.
• If the color of the culture medium remains unchanged (purple), it is negative.
• If it changes to yellow, there is spore growth and the sterilization process has failed.

How to manage the waste generated in the clinic with the use of these sterilization controls?

Can these sterilization controls be recycled?
Unfortunately, the sterilization controls are made of a mixture of non-recyclable materials. Although on several occasions they do not get dirty or wet, their lifespan is short as they are not reused for other patients and are discarded without separating their parts in the bin along with other group II waste (non-infectious healthcare waste not specific to patients).
VIDU is working on developing alternatives and new recycling channels for waste generated in the clinic. In the meantime, to offset the plastic footprint generated, VIDU, in partnership with RePurpose, an organization that has developed the largest certified network of plastic collection projects worldwide, collects every month through the New Cycle project in Colombia, the same amount of plastic that it generates.
How to recycle the packaging of this product?
The box used in the packaging of this product is made of 100% recyclable cardboard and it's that easy:

Flatten the box to store and transport it easily.
Keep it in a dry place until the time of recycling.
When you have accumulated enough cardboard, deposit it in the nearest recycling container.
