Opalustre: Chemical and Mechanical Abrasion Paste

Opalustre is a viscous paste with a low concentration of 6.6% hydrochloric acid containing silicon carbide microparticles in a water-soluble base. This combination makes chemical stain removal possible in combination with gentle mechanical abrasion. Opalustre is indicated for white and brown superficial demineralisations resulting from mottling due to fluorosis, as well as for white spot lesions.

OpalCups are contra-angular abrasive cups that include an internal brush and are indicated to be used with the microabrasion technique together with Opalustre paste to achieve a more powerful whitening and avoid splashing.

Characteristics of Opalustre Whitening Paste:

• Indicated to remove aesthetic defects to a depth of less than 0.2 mm.
• Removes surface stains.
• Maintains the shade of whitened teeth.
• Lightens teeth 2 shades in 1 month.
• Reduces gingivitis.
• Lower abrasive values and maximises the retention of fluoride by enamel.
• Contains 0.25% sodium fluoride (corresponding to approx. 1100 ppm fluoride ions).
• OpalCups minimise splashing.
