Neosorb Absorbable PGLA Violet Suture
Characteristics of Neosorb PGLA:
- Synthetic braided polyglactin (PGLA) suture.
- Indicated for approximation of soft tissues and/or ligatures, including procedures in ophthalmology.
- Not recommended for use in cardiovascular and neurological procedures.
- Absorbable suture through hydrolysis within 56 and 70 days.
- As absorption begins, resistance to the reaction is lost, but without perceptible loss of mass.
- Mild inflammation in the tissues at first, followed by gradual encapsulation of the suture by fibrous connective tissue.
- Retains 50% of average EP tractionrequirements.
- Strand length: 75 or 45 cm.
- Tip: triangular.
- Violet colour.
