Neosorb Absorbable PGLA Violet Suture

Characteristics of Neosorb PGLA:

  • Synthetic braided polyglactin (PGLA) suture.
  • Indicated for approximation of soft tissues and/or ligatures, including procedures in ophthalmology.
  • Not recommended for use in cardiovascular and neurological procedures.
  • Absorbable suture through hydrolysis within 56 and 70 days.
  • As absorption begins, resistance to the reaction is lost, but without perceptible loss of mass.
  • Mild inflammation in the tissues at first, followed by gradual encapsulation of the suture by fibrous connective tissue.
  • Retains 50% of average EP tractionrequirements.
  • Strand length: 75 or 45 cm.
  • Tip: triangular.
  • Violet colour.
