VITA 5% hydrofluoric acid gel

Vita Ceramics Etch is a 5% hydrofluoric acid gel for etching restorations of silicate ceramics such as feldspar, hybrids and glass ceramics. It serves to create the resulting retentive etching pattern resulting in a micromechanical anchorage between the ceramic and the luting composite. It is also easy to apply thanks to its gel consistency, and is even easy to identify because of its red colour. The gel can be applied with a single-use brush or a single-use plastic application cannula.

• For extraoral use only.
• The etching of ceramic restorations should preferably be carried out just prior to placement or after try-in, to avoid
  the engraved ceramic surface is contaminated.
• Wear protective gloves and glasses.
