Haemostatic and analgesic alveolar dressing: Septodont Alveogyl

Alveogyl is a haemostatic-analgesic alveolar dressing for the treatment of alveolitis. These dressings have a fibrous consistency provided by Penghawar fibres for easy filling of the cavity and good adhesion to the alveoli.

Characteristics of Alveogyl:

  • Soothing effect on the alveolar tissues, thus contributing to rapid pain relief.
  • Comfortable and easy to use: Alveogyl is a self-clearing treatment that requires no stitches and no special attention other than observing the healing process.

  • Indicated as an alveolar dressing for dry alveolitis and can also be used after complicated or traumatic tooth extraction in patients with a history of dry alveolitis.

how to use Alveogyl?

  • Take a ball of dough of about 0.20 grams.
  • Place it in the alveolus (which has been previously prepared).
  • Do not suture.

The product Alveogyl I bought for my wife to relieve the tooth pain after a tooth extraction. The dentist was not willing to provide this product while on holiday . He was only prepared to place this product himself. Alveogyl contains jodoform,butamba,eugenol and fibres to stick to the location of the pain. Especially butamba as a long lasting pain relief is very helpful in this application. But the disinfecting effect by jodoform and eugenol makes this product unique.
