Video-guide, we tested Komet's Restart Retreatment files

11/06/2019 - 13:32

We have tested the new range of rotary endodontic retreatment files Komet, long tradition brand now with the latest in re-endodontia thanks to ReStart y Skytaper.

Get a look at our video on youtube to discover firsthand the simplicity offered by Komet and its advantages , including:

  • Fast, only 2-3 minutes by root canal
  • Simplified system, all ducts are prepared only with 2 files
  • Compatibility, works with all endodontic motors
  • Tolerance, suitable for manual endodontics and rotatory

What are the steps of Endodontic Re-treatment?

In the video, we can see the complete instrumentation process, first the Restart Opener File followed by the Endo ReStart and ending with the Skytaper F6.

Step 1. Elimination of the root filling in the coronal third

The Opener File is used for the first coronal third where the most hardened material is found, i.e. it allows the removal of the filling material. It does it perfectly, due to its four cutting faces and its active part of 5mm length.

Step 2. Remove the rest of the seal

The EndoRestart is used for the entire length of the duct. This file has excellent properties of flexibility, 0.5 of conicity and its section of cross section of double "C" helical, therefore it adapts to the length of any root canal, favoring the elimination of the guttapercha, even leaning on the walls of the same one.

Both files, Endo Restart and Opener, use the same torque (1.8), run at a speed of 300 rpm and are compatible with any endodontic engine.

Step 3. Final preparation of the root system.

The SkyTaper F6 allows to finish the instrumentation with total security. diameter 25 and conicity 06. This, together with a good irrigation of the canal, eliminates all the remains of guttapercha remaining in the walls and any persistent focus of infection .SkyTaper files are the solution for retreatment and also for rotary endodontics whatever the case.

These files use a torque of 2.2 and are available in:

  • SkyTaper 21mm.
  • SkyTaper 25mm.
  • SkyTaper 31mm.
  • In addition, there are in the market SkyTaper F6 Gutaperchas Gutaperchas for this system, with color code, graduated and radio bales.
