A correct irrigation in the peri-implant space is essential for osteointegration and consequently the success of the surgical intervention. It is necessary that the surgical bur cools correctly. A flow of liquid coolant, adequate but not excessive, that can only be assured through a system that has been designed exclusively for the different types of physiodispensers.

The guidelines for non-traumatic surgery in hard tissues are:

• Use of disposable burs or limited use of the same in the number of surgeries.
• Dual irrigation systems, external and internal by a cooling Y connection between 800 ml/min and 1200 ml/min.
• Bur speed between 800 and 1200rpm.
• Change of speed and manual pressure of the bur according to the quality of the bone.
• Saline solution around 4°C.
