ROTH VIDU ORTHODONTIC TUBES - PLASTIC NEUTRAL CERTIFIED - ZERO PLASTIC FOOTPRINT
Orthodontic tubes such as brackets can be recycled using a sandblasting machine that conditions them and increases their retention capacity on the tooth surface. At the end of their useful life they should be discarded and incinerated. VIDU works to always offer the most responsible solution and, while maintaining the necessary hygienic qualities in the clinic, always seeks a balance between fair price and care for the planet.
In the case of orthodontic tubes, while Vidu works on researching alternative solutions, they have reached an agreement with The Gravity Wave whereby the same amount of plastic they generate is collected from the Mediterranean Sea, its coasts and ports every month.

How can the waste generated by the use of Orthodontic Tubes be managed in the clinic?
- How can Orthodontic Tubes be recycled?
- How can the packaging of this product be recycled?
Orthodontic Tubes like brackets can be recycled using a sandblasting machine that conditions them and increases their retention capacity on the tooth surface. At the end of their useful life they should be discarded and incinerated. Unfortunately, at the end of their useful life, they cannot be recycled as it has to be incinerated. VIDU is working on the development of alternatives and new recycling channels for clinical waste.
The plastic bag containing the tubes is recyclable, as the packaging is made of LDPE (Low-density Polyethlylene) recyclable plastic and it's as easy as that:
- When you have used all the tubes, place the bag in the yellow bin or in the container where you usually store "Plastic containers, cans and bricks" in the dental practice.
- Once you have accumulated enough, dispose of it in the nearest recycling bin.
Where do Orthodontic Tubes come from?
One of the brand's objectives is transparency, which is why the country of origin is always specified on the packaging of all products. It will vary from one product to another, always looking for the manufacturing conditions that ensure: Quality, sustainability and fair prices.
In terms of these tubes, they are manufactured in China.
