VIDU RUBBER DAMS - PLASTIC NEUTRAL CERTIFIED - ZERO PLASTIC FOOTPRINT
Rubber dams, as well as latex gloves, are widely used products in dental practices. For hygienic and sanitary reasons, it is a non-recyclable material and it is currently difficult to find an alternative material that can perform the various procedures in the clinic. VIDU works to always offer the most responsible solution and, while maintaining the necessary hygienic qualities in the clinic, always seeks a balance between fair price and care for the planet.
While working on researching alternative solutions, VIDU has reached an agreement with The Gravity Wave whereby the same amount of plastic they generate is collected from the Mediterranean Sea, its coasts and ports every month.

How can these rubber dams be used to manage the waste generated in the clinic?
- How to recycle rubber dams?
Unfortunately, these dams are not recyclable. What is the reason for this? As they have been used in the mouth, they are considered as contaminated material with a potential biohazard. VIDU is working on the development of alternatives and new recycling channels for clinical waste. In the meantime, to compensate for the plastic footprint generated, VIDU, together with the Alicante-based start-up The Gravity Wave, collects the same amount of plastic from the Mediterranean Sea, its coasts and ports every month as it generates.
- How to easily recycle the packaging of this product?
The packaging of this product is made of 100% recyclable cardboard. If you can't reuse it, it's that easy:
