VIDU SALIVA EJECTORS - PLASTIC NEUTRAL CERTIFIED - ZERO PLASTIC FOOTPRINT
Ejectors are one of the most commonly used disposable plastic products in the dental practice. For hygienic and sanitary reasons it is difficult to find an alternative material. VIDU works to always offer the most responsible solution and, while maintaining the necessary hygienic qualities in the clinic, always seeks a balance between fair price and care for the planet.
In the case of the saliva vacuums, while they work on researching alternative solutions, they have reached an agreement with The Gravity Wave whereby the same amount of plastic is collected from the Mediterranean Sea, its coasts and ports each month as they generate.
Environmental impact meters >> Plastic footprint of the pack of 100 VIDU ejectors = 0gr.
- Weight of plastic used = 400gr.
- Weight of collected plastic = 400gr.
- Type of collection: preventive

LET'S BE PART OF THE CHANGE!
- Plastic Neutral. Certified by Gravity Wave.
- 100% recyclable packaging. In order to guarantee the highest quality and hygiene conditions, LDPE plastic has been used for the packaging of these ejectors. This plastic is 100% recyclable and can be recycled using the usual "Plastic containers, cans and bricks" recycling bin at the dental surgery.
- Production forthcoming. These ejectors are manufactured and packaged in Europe, favouring local manufacturing and minimising transport.
- Fair price. By achieving a fair and reasonable price, we always seek to offer the easiest and least polluting recycling solution possible, guaranteeing the highest quality and hygienic conditions for the products.
- Responsible consumption. Do not use more ejectors than necessary!
How to manage the waste generated in the clinic with the use of these ejectors?
- How to recycle these ejectors?
- How to recycle the packaging of this product?
Unfortunately these ejectors are not recyclable. What is the reason for this? As they have been used in the mouth, they are considered as contaminated material with a potential biohazard. VIDU is working on the development of alternatives and new recycling channels for clinical waste. In the meantime, to compensate for the plastic footprint generated, VIDU, together with the Alicante-based start-up The Gravity Wave, collects the same amount of plastic from the Mediterranean Sea, its coasts and ports every month as it generates.
The plastic bag containing the ejectors is recyclable, as the packaging of this product is made of LDPE (Low-density Polyethlylene) recyclable plastic and it's that easy:
- When you have used all the ejectors, place the bag in the yellow bin or in the container where you usually store "Plastic containers, cans and bricks" in the dental practice.
- Once you have accumulated enough, dispose of it in the nearest recycling bin.
Where do these saliva vacuums come from?
One of the brand's objectives is transparency, which is why the country of origin is always specified on the packaging of all products. It will vary from one product to another, always looking for the manufacturing conditions that ensure: Quality, sustainability and fair prices.
In the case of these ejectors, they are manufactured in Lucca, Italy.
