Plasticised napkin with three layers to protect the patient during dental treatment. They are composed of 2 layers of cellulose and 1 of polyethylene. VIDU bibs are made from raw materials sourced from controlled forests.
Bib napkins are made of a mixture of materials that cannot be recycled, and for hygienic and sanitary reasons it is difficult to find an alternative made of another material. VIDU works to always offer the most responsible solution and, while maintaining the necessary hygienic qualities in the clinic, always seeks a balance between fair price and care for the planet.
While they work on researching alternative solutions, they have reached an agreement with The Gravity Wave whereby the same amount of plastic is collected from the Mediterranean Sea, its coasts and ports each month as they generate.

Unfortunately the bib napkins are made of a mixture of non-recyclable materials. Although on several occasions they do not become soiled or wet, their life span is short as they are not reused for other patients and are disposed of without separation of their parts in the waste bin together with other Group II wastes (non-infectious non-specific healthcare waste).
VIDU is working on the development of alternatives and new recycling channels for clinical waste. In the meantime, to compensate for the plastic footprint generated, VIDU, together with the Alicante-based start-up The Gravity Wave, collects the same amount of plastic from the Mediterranean Sea, its coasts and ports every month as it generates.
