The syringe is one of the most commonly used disposable plastic items in dental clinics; these fall under Group II non-hazardous clinical waste. Such waste does not require specific special treatment and can be treated in the same way as general household waste. For reasons of hygiene and health, and because they contain chemical compounds, it is difficult to find an alternative made from another material. VIDU works to always offer the most responsible solution and, whilst maintaining the necessary hygiene standards in the clinic, always seeks a balance between fair pricing and caring for the planet.
In the case of whitening syringes, whilst they are researching alternative solutions, they have reached an agreement with RePurpose, an organisation that has developed the largest certified network of plastic collection projects worldwide. Under this agreement, through the Nuevo Ciclo project in Colombia, they collect the same amount of plastic as they generate.

Unfortunately, the syringes are not recyclable. Why is this? As they contain chemical compounds and have been used in the mouth, they are classified as non-hazardous Group II clinical waste. VIDU is working on developing alternatives and new recycling channels for waste generated in clinics. In the meantime, to offset the plastic footprint generated, VIDU, in partnership with RePurpose—an organisation that has developed the largest certified network of plastic collection projects worldwide—collects, through the Nuevo Ciclo project in Colombia, the same amount of plastic each month as it generates.
This product’s packaging is made of 100% recyclable cardboard. If you cannot reuse it, you can flatten the box and store it in a dry place; once you have accumulated enough, place it in the nearest recycling bin.
One of the brand’s objectives is transparency, which is why the country of origin is always specified on the packaging of all products. This will vary from product to product, as we always seek manufacturing conditions that ensure: quality, sustainability and fair pricing.
