Dentsply Maillefer Protaper Gold S Files

The Protaper Gold rotary files have been developed as the evolution of the Protaper Universal and can be used with the same technique and clinical sequence but with improved properties, greater flexibility than its predecessors and a shorter shank of only 11 mm (2 mm less) that allows a more practical intraoral access for the dentist and is more comfortable for the patient.

The Protaper Gold has exactly the same geometry as the Protaper Universal but offers greater flexibility and resistance to clinical fatigue. Particularly important in narrower finishing files, during instrumentation of root canals that are curved in the apical area.

The basic series of Protaper rotary root canal instrumentation consists of three shaping and cutting files , pre-widening the canals and designed to be used with the same rotation technique:

• SX (0.19 / .04): As an accessory in cases where the conicity of the coronal part of the canal needs to be increased. Also in the rotary version, to secure the coronal part of the canal away from the furcation.
• S1 (0,18 / .02)
• S2 (0,20 / .02)

Five finalization and finishfiles, also available, are more flexible so that each duct can be shaped and finished with a complete system approach:

• F1 Yellow ((0.20 / .07)
• F2 Red (0.25 /. 08)
• F3 Blue (0.30 /. 09)
• F4 Black (0,40 / .06)
• F5 Yellow (0,50 / .05)
