- Microsickle for supragingival calculus removal, always sharp
- Extra-thin blade and long shank
- Especially suited for tight interproximal spaces
Periodontal Sickle Instrumentation:
- To remove calculus, place the third of the tip closest to the cutting edge of the sickle against the tooth.
- Tilt the instrument toward the tooth until it forms a 70° to 80° angle between the tooth and the blade.
- Apply lateral pressure and activate the sickle using vertical, diagonal, or horizontal movements.
- To maintain control, make short 2-3 mm movements.
