Gracey Ergosense Curettes

• Gracey curettes for removing deep subgingival calculus from specific areas, according to the specific instrument shape, and for finishing subgingival root surfaces.

Instrumentation with Gracey Curettes:

Place the Gracey curette tip against the tooth surface, according to the indicated shape, at one-third or one-half of the cutting edge.

The cutting edge is always the longer, outer curved portion.

Ensure the lower shank is parallel to the root surface.

Apply moderate pressure to remove calculus and light lateral pressure for root planing, and activate the curette using vertical, diagonal, or horizontal movements.
