A single instrument for the horizontal and vertical measurement of the thickness of layers in anterior restorations. After stratification, but before the polymerization of the composite material of dentin, the thinnest tip, in a cone shape is placed on the natural tooth enamel. Thus the remaining uncured composite under the conical tip is modelled with smoothness, leaving an optimal space (from 0.5 to 0.7 mm) for the layer composed of enamel. The thick short tip is positioned horizontally in the prepared cavity margin to keep the edge of the tip on original enamel. This determines the correct amount of transparent composite material to apply to the finish line. As a result, the final aesthetic restoration consists of opaque and translucent compounds correctly calibrated, avoiding the unpleasant grey effect of composite materials.
They are made with LM superior steel/non-stick DuraGradeMax of exceptional polish. Each LM Arte instrument is colour coded and its name corresponds to its main function which allows quick, effective and simple restorative treatments. Ergonomic handle design and larger diameter provides a sensational grip.
This instrument is integrated with an advanced RFID technology chip to allow it to be fully and reliably tracked inside the clinic, whose mission is to scan information about the instrument, helping to ensure that only clean and safe instruments are used, increasing patient safety to a whole new level.
