➜What's so special about this Contra-Angle?
The Nova Contra-Angle is a new development from Bien Air. It is a multiplier contra-angle, i.e. it multiplies the number of turns the bur turns with the micromotor by five. In addition, it works with turbine burrs, making it the perfect substitute for a turbine, but accompanied by an electric micromotor.
Among its most important features, we can emphasise that it has the smallest head and the thinnest handle on the market. The head is conical, as it has a larger diameter at the top and smaller at the bottom; this greatly facilitates the work in the mouth, allowing a much greater view of the patient's oral cavity.
- Small Ø 6.3 mm 13.7 mm tapered head.
➜What material is Nova made from?
Another important thing is that the Nova contra angle is made entirely of stainless steel, which makes it more lightweight and resistant to knocks and falls should they happen.
➜What does this contra-angle provide in terms of safety?
In terms of safety, Nova is designed to be very safe for both the dental professional and the patient. The first example being that it has a Cool Touch anti-overheating system that prevents the head of the contra-angle handpiece from heating up and causing burns to the patient's mucosa. Additionally, its design includes 4 sprays for optimal cooling of the tooth, guaranteeing perfect nebulisation, as the four asymmetrical sprays converge towards the tip of the bur with laser precision.
➜What other features does it have?
This precise instrument also contains a non-return valve, which prevents patient fluids from entering the hose system of our dental equipment, thus preventing cross-contamination.
Also worth noting is the set of shafts and gears mounted on pre-stressed ball bearings that the Nova contra-angle hand-piece has. This achieves a vibration-free transmission and reduces energy loss. Thus, these Bien-Air shafts and gears provide both great smoothness and improved sensitivity, to provide comfort for both the dental practitioner and their patient.
For all these features, Bien-Air's Nova Contra-Angles are marvels of precision, safety and quiet operation. In addition, they are also available in Micro-Series versions, which include all the same qualities but are shorter, lighter and more manoeuvrable.
