How should waste generated in clinics from the use of these syringes be managed?

• How should syringes be recycled?

Unfortunately, the syringes are not recyclable. Why is this? As they contain chemical compounds and have been used in the mouth, they are classified as non-hazardous Group II clinical waste. VIDU is working on developing alternatives and new recycling channels for clinical waste. In the meantime, to offset the plastic footprint generated, VIDU, in partnership with RePurpose—an organisation that has developed the largest certified network of plastic collection projects worldwide—collects the same amount of plastic each month through the Nuevo Ciclo project in Colombia as it generates.

• How can I easily recycle this product’s packaging?

The packaging box for this product is made of 100% recyclable cardboard and it’s this easy:

1. Flatten the box for easy storage and transport.
2. Store it in a dry place until you are ready to recycle it.
3. Once you have collected enough cardboard, take it to your nearest recycling bin.
