Description

Sectional Matrix Ring

The Sectional Matrix Ring is a retention accessory designed to stabilise the matrix during proximal restorations on posterior teeth. Its various end configurations allow the fixation to be tailored to the surface being treated and to wedge placement.

Features of the Sectional Matrix Ring:

  • Accessory for securing sectional matrices during posterior proximal restorations.
  • Available in different end configurations to suit the surface and clinical access.
  • Delta Ring: double ends compatible with fixation wedges and additional wedges.
  • MD Ring: provides stable placement with sufficient space for the wedge.
  • D Ring: ends curved inwards to secure the matrix on the distal surface.
  • M Ring: ends curved outwards to secure the matrix on the mesial surface.
  • The ring should be opened outside the mouth and should not exceed 10-12 mm.
  • Can be cleaned and sterilised using moist heat or steam in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

Indications for the Sectional Matrix Ring:

  • Securing sectional matrices in restorations of proximal surfaces on posterior teeth.
  • Work on mesial, distal or combined surfaces, depending on the ring design selected.
