NiTi Matrix Ring

The NiTi Matrix Ring is an accessory for the placement and stabilisation of sectional matrices in posterior restorations. It is made from nitinol, a nickel-titanium alloy, and is available in configurations suited to premolars and molars.

Features of the NiTi Matrix Ring:

  • Designed to hold sectional matrices in place during the reconstruction of proximal surfaces.
  • Made from nitinol (NiTi).
  • Available in a version for premolars and a version for molars.
  • Fitted using pliers specifically designed for matrix rings.
  • The ring should be opened outside the mouth, without exceeding a gap of 10-12 mm between its ends.
  • Can be cleaned and sterilised using moist heat or steam, following the manufacturer's instructions.

Indications for the NiTi Matrix Ring:

  • Placement and stabilisation of sectional matrices in restorations of posterior teeth.
  • Reconstruction of proximal walls in premolars and molars, selecting the corresponding variant.
