The Aseptic Plus system uses photo-activated disinfection to remove all species of oral bacteria in the treatment of root canals, periodontal diseases, peri-implantitis and caries. Aseptic technology supported an extensive list of reviewed, published, microbiological and clinical studies.

Aseptic technology is based on two components: a solution of diluted, tolonium chloride pharmaceutical grade (a vital dye) and the red light of a specific wavelength (635 nm) to activate the aseptic solution. Introduced in hard or soft dental tissue, the solution selectively targets the labels of all bacteria. When the solution is activated by the light released by Aseptim, it breaks the cell walls of the bacteria, killing them in a matter of seconds. Selectively eliminates all bacteria and, unlike other methods of disinfection, does not affect the surrounding healthy tissue, nor does it stain soft tissues or restorations.
