MI Varnish Fluoride Varnish

MI Varnish provides patients with a window to caries protection by combining fluoride, calcium and phosphate to form a tough protective varnish. The neutral pH of 6.6 increases the acid resistance of the enamel and inhibits demineralisation. In an acidic environment, calcium and fluoride are released from the varnish layer and, as a result, the teeth are no longer directly attacked by acids.

Features of MI Varnish:

• May prevent cervicalhypersensitivity, incisor-molar hypomineralisation (MIH) or occlusal wear.
• High initial fluoride release.
• Reduces toothsensitivity and strengthens tooth mineral.
• Penetrates the dentinal tubules effectively to seal them.
• Adheres to application brushes and flows easily into hard-to-reach areas.
• It does not agglutinate or coagulate when exposed to saliva.
• Neutral colour with natural translucency.
