Features of the Dual Plates for Bruxism and Exis Splints:
Soft/hard bruxism splints.
In the hard part (occlusal) you can place auto resin, since it welds with the material (2 mm).
The soft layer provides great comfort for the patient (1 mm).
The heating process for adaptation is different from the rest of the plates, the soft part is heated first and then the plate is turned over and the hard part is heated, and after that the plate is lowered to carry out the adaptation.
One plate insulates the other from heat and if they are placed to heat from the beginning with the soft part down, which is how it will be in the end, the soft part may be cold and not adapt well.
