News and launches at Expodental 2022
3M: Technology and innovation
The renowned brand 3M, famous in the dental sector for its technology and innovation, told us that its new products include the new Scotchbond Universal Plus, which makes bonding even more predictable and easier in all clinical cases. Another relevant launch is the new Relyx Universal cement that makes cementation a predictable process, meaning every cementation case is successful.
On the other hand, the 3M stand hosted the presentation of the new Second Opinion software, which is the result of a collaboration between 3M and Pearl and provides dentists with a second opinion in diagnostic imaging, provided by an artificial intelligence tool.

VOCO: German quality
The German company VOCO, known for its high quality, has told us that its innovations have focused on the digital area with the launch of new resins for its high-tech 3D printers.
Another major launch from VOCO was the gingival retraction paste to ensure a more accurate result without compromising patient comfort, this paste can be used prior to taking conventional or digital impressions, cementing restorations and fabricating fillings close to the gingival margin.

VOCO pointed out that the trend today is the digitalisation of the dental practice, which is why they are focusing their efforts on bringing innovation and technology to this sector.
Kulzer: Complete 3D printing system
The company Kulzer, part of the Japanese Mitsui Chemicals Group based in Tokyo, has not been left behind with the novelties and presented its Venus Bulk Flow ONE flowable composite, the first monochromatic flowable composite on the market at this year's Expodental. In digital dentistry, Kulzer is also a sector leader and has taken advantage of this fair to present its new complete 3D printing system, which includes CAM software, photopolymers, 3D printing, cleaning and post-curing.

GC: As in Japan
The Japanese company GC, which is available in more than 100 countries around the world, decorated its stand with typical Japanese cultural decorations and has offered trade fair visitors the chance to have their photograph taken in a kimono, the traditional Japanese garment. In addition, various interesting practical workshops for visitors were held at the stand.
Regarding new launches presented by GC at this year's Expodental, there were injectable composites, lithium disilicate for milling, new ceramic systems, intraoral and extraoral scanners, among others. GC emphasises that customers are very keen to digitalise their dental clinics and that is why the brand is committed to high-tech products that contribute to these innovations.

Bien Air: Swiss precision
Bien Air, the Swiss leader in high-precision rotary instruments, presented among its innovations the new Nova Contra Angle which provides greater visibility and better accessibility to the work area, as well as the new and improved Bora 2 turbine and the new Tornado turbine with scratch-resistant Protective Shield coating. But that's not all, it also introduced the innovative Lubricare 2, a device that ensures the correct automatic maintenance of turbines and handpieces, prolonging the service life of the instruments.
In the field of surgery, Bien Air is also a leading company and has exhibited its line of Chiropro motors, highlighting the Chiropro Plus, a motor specially designed for implantology and oral surgery.

Bondent: A 3-in-1 CBCT
The Bondent group had an exclusive space at our stand to present its CBCT 3-in-1 (Panoramic, CT and Cephalometric Scanner), with 18 x 8 cm field of view and subscription-free software. Bondent highlights the very competitive price-quality ratio of this equipment, which has generated great interest from the visitors at the fair.
Bondent has also taken advantage of this fair to promote its Semorr microscopes with LED lighting and excellent optical system so that you do not miss a single detail and along with it, its Platinum and Immature endodontic file systems which they have presented several lectures about throughout the fair by their opinion leaders.

Vidu: The only Plastic Neutral brand
The only brand with zero plastic footprint also played a leading role at our stand and presented its wide range of products, including disposables, restorative, endodontic, orthodontic and impression products, among others.
The Vidu brand stands out for its high quality and environmental awareness, being able to offer dentists a sustainable alternative of dental products that neutralise the plastic they generate, collecting the same amount in the form of fishing nets, packaging and plastic waste from the coasts of the Mediterranean Sea to give them a second life. It is undoubtedly a great innovation in the dental industry that has been very well received by those attending this year's Expodental.

Medicaline: A journey through the history of dentistry
.Medicaline is a Spanish company that offers a wide variety of products with a great quality-price ratio and this year they surprised us with one of the most creative stands of the fair that transported us through the history of dentistry. The innovative games and the staging of Medicaline were a real experience for the attendees, who even got the chance to drink a glass of "arsenic".
It was not only the Medicaline stand that was new, but also the invisible aligner pliers, the new tungsten carbide burs and its two new cements mZem Tempo and mZem Plus.

Expodental 2022: The balance sheet of the brands is positive
The exhibitors said they were very happy with this year's event due to the large number of visitors who were highly receptive to the sector's new releases. The balance has been very positive and they have welcomed with great enthusiasm the possibility of having again a direct and personal contact with the clients after the past couple of years of the pandemic, there's no doubt this event is considered an event that plays the part of the dose of normality that we needed so much.
The trend this year, as in previous years, has been towards the digital transformation of dental clinics and laboratories, with many innovative advances and proposals being presented, such as CAD-CAM, digital flow technologies and 3D diagnostic imaging equipment.
