Self curing composites

The self -curing composites, also known as dual polymerization composites , these composites are characterized by the fact it is not necessary to carry out the polymerization process with light.
For this reason, these composites are used in dentistry for the reconstruction of stumps, (It is very useful if the stump has deteriorated but the bridge is in good condition, in these cases it is used inside the bridge as a mold for the false stump .)
The use of self-curing composite is also indicated for the obturation of cavities in posterior teeth (where higher mechanical qualities are preferred), or if the cavity is very large and the layering of a light-curing composite is very slow.
