Description
Resorbable haemostatic sponges
Gelatamp resorbable haemostatic sponges are particularly suitable for the treatment of alveoli and the stabilisation of coagulation in dental surgery.
Gelatamp is mainly composed of a porous gelatine foam and finely dispersed (colloidal) silver powder. Silver produces an antibacterial effect due to the release, in small amounts, of silver ions in an aqueous medium. In this way, resistance does not occur and wound infections are prevented. The effectiveness of gelatamp in antibiotic-resistant germs has been proven.
Characteristics of Gelatamp:
- Very rapid initial wound haemostasis.
- High antibacterial capacity.
- High absorption capacity in a uniform and complete way.
- Good clot stabilisation.
- Fully biocompatible.
- It is completely absorbed in four weeks.

- Improvement of the healing process.
- The sponge does not need to be removed in a second surgery.
