EZTEST BIOLOGICAL INDICATOR BY OMNIA®

Biological indicators are used for steam cycles in general. Allows you to determine the microbicide efficacy of a sterilization process for water vapor through the destruction of the biological activity in the inoculated strip. After 24 hours without a change of colour sterilization is considered correct.

How to use:

• Insert the bio-indicator along with the charge that you want to control.

Proceed to the routine sterilization cycle.

• Once the process is complete, check that the process indicator printed on the label has changed from blue to brown. Once the sterilizer indicator is removed, wait 10 minutes for it to cool.
• Position the indicator vertically and with the colour cap facing upwards, into the activation hole on the top right part of the incubator. Tilt inside the hole, to the right of the indicator until the end of the cavity.
• Remove the indicator, check that the inner glass bulb has ruptured and the culture medium is in contact with the strip of inoculated spores.
• Place the ampoule for incubation in any of the cavities numbered 1 to 13.
• After 24 hours, check the result of the incubation and discard the indicator by removing the tag with the result obtained, to file it on the control sheet.
• Incubation at 57 ° C for 24 hours.
