- Absorption begins as a loss of tensile strength without appreciable loss of mass.
- Retention: 65-70% after 4 weeks and 50-60% after 6 weeks.
- It causes mild inflammation and connective tissue development.
- Not indicated for cardiovascular tissues or tissues of the central nervous system.
