Periodontal and dental probe

In this section you will find two types of dental instruments: periodontal probes and exploratory probes.

• Periodontal probe : it is a basic instrument in dentistry that is used to determine the state of the periodontium, besides to evaluate the gingival margin and the hemorrhagic response to pressure.
• Scanning probe : it is a more classic instrument but at the same time basic that is used to determine the level of plaque, caries, etc.
