WHALEDENT

The brand Whaledent belongs to the dental multinational Coltene, forming the COLTENE/WHALEDENT group, specialized in dental impression and obturation materials with small equipment for the dental clinic. The dental group Coltène / Whaledent was established in 1990, as a result of the merger between the Swiss brand Coltène AG and Whaledent, Inc. of the USA.
The American company was founded in 1956 as a manufacturer of dental prosthetic products and after the merger, it continues to research and develop new products for the dental sector, making it easier for dentists around the world with high-quality products and European guarantee.
In 1997, Coltène / Whaledent acquired the dental division of Hygenic, a globally recognized brand for its dental rubber dams, gutta-percha, paper points, waxes, and acrylic resins.
This acquisition allowed Coltène / Whaledent to expand its experience and product lines in the areas of endodontics and dental laboratory products.
In addition to other diverse brands under this same company, such as Diatech AG, a Swiss company acquired in 2001, the experience of purchasing for dentists and developing new lines with diamond burs, rotary instruments, and polishing instruments was expanded.
Another important line of the Coltène/Whaledent group is the brand ROEKO GmbH & Co KG, which became part of the group in 2002. The ROEKO range of cotton rolls and high-quality cotton balls, paper points, gutta-percha, and other disposable materials for the dental clinic.
