Originally designed for cardiac surgery because of its strength and low friction as it moves through the tissue.
These sutures are ideal for endodontics as they produce minimal tissue trauma. Tevdek sutures, which are 1/3 stronger than silk sutures, are coated and impregnated with Teflon® *.
The non-stick surface means less adhesion of bacteria, which accelerates the healing process and allows a withdrawal of the earliest suture.
The ease of handling of this type of suture, allows knots that are easily tied and very secure.
Our KT needles are extremely sharp and create an incision hole instead of a triangular hole in order to be less traumatic to the patient.
