Description
INTRAORAL TITANIUM WELDER BY SWISS & WEGMAN
Features:
- It is a medical device with CE certification.
- Used to unite and stabilize the implants of immediate loading with a rigid splint in order to break the mastication forces applied on implants during the healing of an osteointergration.
- By means of a welding clamp equipped with copper electrodes, a prefabricated titanium bar is soldered to the pillars of the implant directly in the oral cavity: an intense shock passes through the point of contact between the two titanium elements for a very short time (a few milliseconds) without heating the surrounding tissues.
- The current flowing between the titanium elements heats the melting point, creating a solid union.
- Such rigid fixation reduces the mechanical pressure exerted upon each implant during chewing and avoids the risk of micro-movements, thus promoting the stability of the implants during the early stages of the bone integration.
- There is no risk for the patient, since during the welding process the pliers are automatically disconnected from the mains and the heat produced is dissipated through the copper electrodes due to the higher thermal conductivity of copper in comparison to titanium.
Technical features:
