SonicFill uniquely combines the characteristics of a universal, fluid composite. Activating the composite with sonic energy it charges and adapts to low viscosity, when sonic energy ceases it presses and adapts like a high viscosity composite. Kerr Corporation and KaVo Dental GmbH have joined their key skills to create the first system which saves time in the charging of posterior restorations. The SonicFill system allows professionals to easily perform posterior restorations, combining the advantages of a fluid composite with a universal one in just one step. The SonicFill system consists of a KaVo handpiece that allows the sonic activation of the composite specially designed and manufactured by Kerr. Sonicfill’s patented sonic activation significantly reduces the viscosity of the composite to quickly fill the cavity. Professionals that use SonicFill have reduced their time spent on placing, fitting and modelling restorations.
