Description
Fluoride lacquer for treatment and protection of hypersensitive teeth
Tooth desensitising fluoride lacquer for the treatment of tooth enamel and dentine surfaces. Fluoride lacquer adheres to damp surfaces and tolerates moisture and saliva residues. It is based on an ethanolic suspension of artificially flavoured colophonium and xylitol.

Use and recommendations for Fluoride Lacquer:
- On the day of treatment, no further applications with fluoride preparations should be made.
- Avoid consumption of fluoride tablets for a few days after treatment with fluoride lacquer.
- Do not ingest the hairspray.
- Clean the scale treatment surface.
- For best results, remove excessive moisture / saliva completely from the surface to be treated.
- Apply the fluoride lacquer evenly, so that the entire surface is covered with a thin layer.
- Moisten the area of application (either by light rinsing or by natural saliva flow) to ensure drying of the fluoride varnish.
- Patients should be instructed to avoid food, alcohol, dental cleaning and flossing for 4 hours after treatment.
- Treatment of patients with deciduous teeth approx. 0.25 ml with fluoride varnish.
- Treatment of patients with mixed dentition or permanent dentition approx. 0.40 ml fluoride varnish.
- The amount required for a complete denture is between 0.25 ml and 0.40 ml.
