Infiltrative treatment of early caries - vestibular

Icon is a micro-invasive infiltrative treatment of caries lesions from DMG, specifically indicated for the vestibular area, i.e. smooth surfaces. This initial caries treatment serves to correct the black and white spots caused by active caries, especially after the removal of braces. What stands out about this infiltrant is that it has a similar refractive index to healthy enamel and is able to match the difference in light refraction and approximate the appearance of the infiltrating lesion.

Considerations for use of the initial caries infiltrant:

• Avoid contact with the white tissues of the mouth, eyes and skin with the Icon-Etch
• Use Ico Etch only on enamel surfaces, not on bare dentine or dental cement.
• Light-curing lamps shall emit light at 450 nm and an intensity of 800mW/cm*2.
• Use a rubber dam to ensure perfect drying.
• You can record up to 3 times for 2 minutes each with Icon-Etch.
