A dental turbine is a rotating instrument that is driven by air compression directly through the dental unit hose through a coupling. Of all the rotating material, it is the one with the highest speed but the lowest torque. It is indicated for jobs that require greater resistance to treatment, remove hard tissue from the tooth such as enamel or prosthetic material
Micromotors
The micromotors are devices used in dentistry for the treatment of semi-hard dental tissues. The dental micromotor is a motor that works at low speed that is attached to the handpieces, contra-angle and hose pieces, thus facilitating the treatment of the tooth.
Handpieces
Dental handpieces are rotary instrument elements made up of a straight handle with an axis inside that is capable of transmitting the rotation of a micromotor to the dental burs. It may or may not have external irrigation, and LED light, depending on the range of these, they will have more or less characteristics. They have two parts: the head, where the drill is placed, which contains the irrigation system; and the body, with a rough surface to facilitate grip, attached to the equipment by a hose system. It must be taken into account that dental burs for Handpieces have a special connection. Therefore, turbine or contra-angle dental burs are not compatible.
Dental Contra Angles
It is oriented for endodontic treatments and prophylaxis. It is used for the removal of dentin or for polishing teeth, as well as for the preparation of cavities, crowns and removal of fillings, always connected to a micromotor. The speed of rotation and the torque allow constant work, generating effective results.
Dental Lights-Curing Lamps
Dental light-curing lamps are used in dentistry to light-cure restorative dental materials that are activated by a high-intensity light source that causes them to harden in a short period of time. The most common dental procedure in the clinic where these instruments are used is in dental restoration with light-curing composites for effective filling of the cavity.
Apex Locator
The Apex Locators are dental endodontic devices that measure the impedance, frequency and resistance of the surrounding material to locate the working length of the root canal to be endodontic. An apex locator consists of a monitor that is attached by two cables to a lip hook and the endodontic element (the file). Autoclaves: Autoclaves are thick-walled containers that seal hermetically so that they can withstand high pressure. This allows sterilization to be carried out by means of steam at a temperature higher than 100ºC.
