Description
Replacement O-rings for Pro-tip adapters
The Pro-Tip to converter seal arrangement is universal . All Pro-Tip adapters for disposable dental syringe tips use the same O-rings.
When these wear out, it is necessary to change them to guarantee the maximum tightness of the syringe. O-rings should be replaced when they are visibly worn or when air or water is leaking between the Pro-Tip and the Pro-Tip Converter.
- Valid for all Pro-Tip adapters.
- Contents: The kit contains 2 units (1 black O-ring + 1 red O-ring).
How to replace the O-rings for Pro-Tip?
- Remove the black o-ring and red o-ring with a sharp probe. Take the black O-ring and squeeze it in an oval shape, between your thumb and finger, and place it in the hole of the converter at right angles to the cross groove so that it is in a vertical position as shown.
- With a liner applicator or other blunt instrument, gently press down on the top of the O-ring and tuck it under and into the groove of the internal seal.
- Once the black o-ring is partially inserted as above, use the instrument to gently slide the opposite side of the o-ring up and into the groove. Lastly, make sure the O-ring is straight and evenly around the groove. Lubricate with a small amount of petroleum jelly to facilitate insertion of the Pro-Tip tips.
- Put the red o-ring in position and fit it into the groove with a blunt instrument.
