Zeta 1 Ultra: Dental Instrument Disinfectant and Cleaner (1 Litre) - ZHERMACK (Dentsply Sirona Group)

Zeta 1 Ultra disinfectant for surgical and rotary instruments:

Zeta 1 Ultra is a concentrated aldehyde-free disinfectant and detergent with a complete field of action.

Features of Zeta 1 Ultra Disinfectant:

• Tested according to the new validated European disinfection standards.
• Suitable for detersion and high-level disinfection of surgical and rotary dental instruments, including the most delicate ones (scalpels, pliers, tweezers, burs, mirrors, probes, etc.)
• 100 g of ZETA 1 ULTRA contains: 18 g 3-aminopropyl-dodecyl-1,3-propandiammine and 15 g alchyl-benzyl-dimethyl ammonium chloride.

How to use Zeta 1 Ultra Disinfectant:

You can use Zeta 1 Ultra Disinfectant in two different levels depending on its dilution:

• In 2% dilution (Recommended option for broad spectrum of action)
• In 1% Dilution (Not recommended due to limited action)

2% dilution

1. Preparation of the Solution:

• Fill the dilution tank with water at room temperature.
• Add 20 ml of Zeta 1 Ultra to obtain 1 litre of diluted solution. For each litre of Zeta 1 Ultra, 50 L of ready-to-use solution is obtained.
• Mix the solution with a plastic rod.
• If you want to dilute to 1% with limited action, dilute 10 ml per litre of water.)

2. Immersion of the Instruments:

• Completely immerse the instruments in the diluted solution.
• Close the dilution tank.
• Soak for 60 minutes in a static bath, or in a closed ultrasonic bath at 35 °C for 30 minutes (max. 4 cycles, all on the same day) according to the desired spectrum of action.

3. Rinse the instruments:

• When the action time is over, remove the instruments from the dilution tank and rinse them thoroughly.
• Close the tank. At the end of the working day or after a maximum of 4 cycles, if the ultrasonic bath has been used, it is advisable to wash the tank carefully, disinfect it with alcohol-free disinfectants and rinse it thoroughly under running water to remove any residues.

*It is advisable to wear gloves. Observe the manufacturer's warnings on material compatibility, maintenance and processing of the tank.

2% Dilution in Static Bath (60 minutes)

• Mycobactericidal, including Tuberculocidal (M. terrae, M. avium: AT 14348, AT 14563
• Virucidal (Poliovirus, Adenovirus, Norovirus, HIV, HBV, HC: EN 14476

2% dilution in Ultrasonic Bath (30 minutes)

• Bactericidal (S. aureus, P. aeruginosa, E. hirae): EN 13727, EN 14561
• Levuricide (C.albicans): EN 13624, EN 14562
• Fungicide (A. brasiliensis: EN 13624
• Mycobactericidal, including Tuberculocidal (M. terrae, M. avium: AT 14348, AT 14563
• Virucidal (Poliovirus, Adenovirus, Norovirus, HIV, HBV, HC: EN 14476

1% dilution (15 minutes)

• Bactericidal (EN 13727, EN 14561).
• Levuricidal (EN 13624, EN 14562).
• Limited-action virucidal against HIV, HBV, HCV, Ebola, Herpes simplex and all animal and human influenza viruses (DVV/RKI, prEN 16777).
