VIDU STERILISATION CONTROLS · PLASTIC NEUTRAL CERTIFIED · ZERO PLASTIC FOOTPRINT
Sterilisation controls are made from a mixture of materials that cannot be recycled, and for hygiene and health reasons it is difficult to find an alternative material. VIDU strives to always offer the most responsible solution and, while maintaining the necessary hygiene standards in clinics, always seeks to strike a balance between fair pricing and caring for the planet.
While working on researching alternative solutions, they have reached an agreement with RePurpose, an organisation that has developed the largest certified network of plastic collection projects worldwide, whereby it collects the same amount of plastic that they generate through the Nuevo Ciclo project in Colombia.

LET´S BE PART OF THE CHANGE!
- Plastic Neutral. Certified by RePurpose.
- 100% recyclable packaging. The packaging for these sterilisation controls is made from 100% recyclable cardboard. The packaging clearly states the instructions for proper recycling and disposal. It's very simple!
- Waste reduction. VIDU dental sterilisation controls use no more packaging than necessary, while always guaranteeing the highest quality and hygiene standards for the products.
- Local manufacturing. These sterilisation controls are manufactured and packaged in Europe, promoting local manufacturing and minimising transport.
- Responsible consumption. Do not use more controls than necessary!
How to manage waste generated in clinics using these sterilisation controls?
- Can these sterilisation controls be recycled?
- How to recycle the packaging of this product?
Unfortunately, sterilisation controls are made from a mixture of non-recyclable materials. Although they often do not get dirty or wet, their useful life is short as they are not reused for other patients and are disposed of without separating their parts in the bin together with other Group II waste (non-specific healthcare waste from non-infectious patients).
VIDU is working on developing alternatives and new recycling channels for waste generated in clinics. In the meantime, to offset its plastic footprint, VIDU, in partnership with RePurpose, an organisation that has developed the largest certified network of plastic collection projects worldwide, collects the same amount of plastic it generates every month through the Nuevo Ciclo project in Colombia.
The box used to package this product is made of 100% recyclable cardboard and it's that easy:
- Flatten the box for easy storage and transport.
- Store it in a dry place until it is time to recycle it.
- When you have accumulated enough cardboard, deposit it in the nearest recycling bin.
Where do these sterilisation controls come from?
One of the brand's objectives is transparency, which is why the country of origin is always specified on the packaging of all products. This will vary from product to product, always seeking manufacturing conditions that ensure: Quality, sustainability and fair price.
