Probe cable connection:

1. Insert the connector of the probe cable fully into the female connector on the left side of the Root ZX.

2. Insert the grey male connector of the probe holder into the grey female connector of the probe cable.

3. Insert the counter electrode into the white female connector of the probe cable.

Additional Considerations for Cable Probe Use:

• Make sure that the connector of the probe cable is securely connected to the female connector. If it is incorrectly connected, measurements may not be possible.
• Do not drop anything on the probe cable connector or knock it once it is inserted into the socket.
• Be sure to connect the colours of the probe holder and the counter electrode to the corresponding colours of the probe cable. Measurements cannot be made if they are connected the wrong way round.
• When connecting and disconnecting cables, always grasp the connectors.
• Do not wrap the probe cable around the body of the main unit.
• Do not wipe the surface of the probe cable with a cloth soaked in any alcohol except disinfectant ethyl alcohol (80%). Any other type of solution could cause cracking, clouding, discolouration or similar damage.
