Microwave Sintering Furnace for Zirconium

However, due to its novelty and revolutionary concept, there are many doubts and uncertainties that assail the dental laboratory technician.

Unlike in conventional ovens, in which the heat moves from the outside of the structure to the inside, in the microwave oven the heat is generated at all points of the structure , so the temperature is reached much more uniformly. The resulting sintered structure is cleaner and stronger.

The MESTRA microwave oven control has been designed for intuitive and easy operation. This allows a detailed setting of parameters (time, sintering temperatures ...). The furnace is supplied with several predetermined programs included in the memory, so in most cases it is enough just to press the start button to start and end a cycle.

On the other hand, the synoptic display shows the parameters and steps of the cycle at all times so that the user has an exact knowledge of what is happening inside the oven. The graph of temperatures and times shows in real time the state of the cycle . The minutes remaining until the end are also displayed.

Sintered:

Sintering quality, proven (in the industry it has been sintering by microwave for more than 20 years). Sintering is from the beginning throughout the entire structure of the zirconium, unlike the conventional one that goes from the outside to the inside, that is why the conventional ones are slower since they must reach the inside little by little, to avoid stress and breakage / p>

Sintering time saving:

• Sintering maximum 4 hours + 1.45 h of cooling for bridges of more than 3 pieces or complete ones.
• Sintered for single units 1.53 + 1.45h of cooling (without high degree of translucency), this varies depending on the brand of zirconia.
• Sintered unit 2.53 + 1.45 h cooling for high translucency units and 3-piece bridges, this varies depending on the brand of zirconia.

Savings in Consumption:

Very low consumption : approximately 800/1100 W during almost the entire cycle. More than 50% than conventional oven.

Maintenance Savings:

As it does not have resistors, due to lower power, fewer components, and smaller size, the furnace allows savings in maintenance costs, there are only susceptors that are changed every 500 sinters (what changes the client himself). Nor does it carry the fragile and expensive Molybdenum Silicate resistors.

Space Saving:

Compact model that occupies a small space in the laboratory . The dimensions of the equipment are practically similar to those of a conventional dental cylinder preheating oven.

Intuitive handling:

simple and intuitive operation. There is no learning curve. The equipment is supplied with a series of prerecorded programs , so it is enough to press a button to start and end a cycle. The optimal result is guaranteed.

Quality Improvement:

Significant quality improvement. Sometimes cracks and deformations of a sintered dental material do not appear on the outside of the piece, but remain inside, being impossible to detect. However, this does not mean that there is no potential risk of breakage. It may happen that, when subjecting the prosthesis to daily use, it ends up breaking due to an internal failure that was not detected in the visual inspection after sintering. This risk is significantly reduced by using microwave heating technology.

Greater Production Capacity:

Production capacity increases dramatically. With conventional technology, a sintering cycle takes a long time, making it difficult to perform more than one in a single day. As microwave technology is much faster, on the same day it is possible to launch two and even if well planned up to three cycles.

The oven is supplied with all the necessary accessories for immediate start-up. Set of Susceptors (1 rear, 2 side, 1 lower and 1 upper). Susceptors are changed every 500 sinters.
