Endocem MTA Pre-Mixed Bioceramic Cement
Endocem MTA Regular Pre-Mixed is a next-generation bioceramic repair cement formulated with pure tricalcium silicate. It has a putty-like consistency specifically developed for structural repair procedures, vital pulp therapies and endodontic treatments requiring a stable, bioactive seal.
Its pre-mixed, injectable presentation allows the material to be dispensed directly from the syringe using fine tips, enabling precise application in narrow, deep or hard-to-access areas. This avoids the variations associated with manual mixing of powder and liquid in conventional MTA cements.
Features of Endocem MTA Regular Pre-Mixed:
- Formulated with pure tricalcium silicate, with a putty-like consistency suited to endodontic repairs.
- Supplied pre-mixed and ready to use, avoiding manual preparation and enabling homogeneous dosing.
- Its application via syringe and fine tips allows direct, precise and controlled placement.
- Has a setting time of between 3 and 5 minutes, achieved by absorbing moisture present in the clinical environment.
- Its rapid setting allows the definitive composite or resin restoration to be placed in the same session.
- Its phyllosilicate components help provide a haemostatic action that helps control mild bleeding from the pulpal or periapical tissue.
- Offers effective marginal sealing that blocks the exposed pulp and the surrounding dentinal tubules.
- Its submicron structure promotes adaptation to irregularities and hard-to-access areas, particularly when repairing perforations.
- Its bioactivity stimulates the formation of secondary dentine and regeneration of bone tissue.
- Maintains its physical integrity, adhesion and bond strength even in contact with blood, saliva or inflamed tissue.
- Uses zirconium oxide as a radiopacifying agent, avoiding the discolouration associated with materials containing bismuth oxide.
- Provides high radiopacity to help monitor the position and thickness of the material radiographically.
- Has an antibacterial effect against micro-organisms commonly found in endodontics, including Enterococcus faecalis.
- Offers excellent biocompatibility, particularly suited to pulpotomy procedures and the preservation of pulp vitality.
- Contents: 1 x 2 gram syringe + 20 tips + 5 caps.
Indications for Endocem MTA Regular Pre-Mixed:
- Direct and indirect pulp protection, sealing exposed pulp or pulp close to exposure and helping to preserve tooth vitality.
- Pulpotomies in primary teeth and in other vital pulp therapy procedures.
- Repair of root perforations or accidental communications in the floor of the pulp chamber.
- Retrograde filling in periapical surgery, to fill and seal the root end following an apicoectomy.
- Apexification, creating an artificial apical barrier in teeth with incomplete root development.
- Apexogenesis, to support the continued root development of young, vital teeth.
- Repair of endodontic structural defects requiring stability, bioactivity and a hermetic seal.
