IPS e.max Ceram Power materials have been designed with today's ceramic products in mind. Previously, the purpose of stratification was to add translucency and depth to opaque frames. Now, with the high strength and highly translucent materials on the market, the addition of translucent ceramic layers can often result in a grey appearance. IPS e.max Ceram energy powders have been formulated for application in translucent structural ceramics such as lithium disilicate and zirconia and help maintain high levels of value to meet the needs of the dentist and patient. Power materials can also be added to opaque substructures to increase gloss when the situation demands it.
