TEPE
The company TePe was founded in 1965 when carpenter Henning Eklund developed a new type of interdental brush in collaboration with professors of the Faculty of Dentistry in Malmö, Sweden. The novel stick was triangular to fit the natural shape of the interdental space. In 1973, the son of the founder, Bertil Eklund, made a significant leap into the business by starting to manufacture dental brushes, designed with the characteristic ergonomic handle. Today, more than 25% of toothbrushes sold in Sweden bear the TePe! At the beginning of the nineties, after a solid clinical investigation, came the interdental brush. It quickly became the star product, and the company experienced spectacular growth, which led it to double billing repeatedly in a few years.
In these times of globalization, TePe has chosen to stay where everything started; In Malmö, Sweden, as always. The company is still owned by the Eklund family. The headquarters and all the production are kept together in a single complex, in order to guarantee a safe and flexible production process.
